During this, Lindsay attempts to break Drew's hold on Madison, as Drew protests at her until Alvin arrives with Drew's captive Ruby Baker who nearly attacks Drew for her rape and abduction but is held back. The detectives proceed to ask Madison to help them after revealing what Drew has been up to, as he protests but is silenced by Voight. Eventually, Lindsay tells Madison that her real name is Jamie and that her family misses her and Drew was manipulating her, while Baker told Madison that Drew tortured her. These acts work and Madison turns on Drew.
During Start Digging, friends of Voight kidnap Kevin Bingham, his son's killer and take him to the silos. A bound Bingham protests before he comes face to face with Voight and learns that he's Justin's father, realizing Voight wants revenge on him for his actions. He is soon left alone with the angry Sergeant after his friends leave. Bingham pleads to Voight who forces him to dig his own grave in the dark, cold and rain. Det. Erin Lindsay arrives and tries to convince Voight to stop, while Bingham agrees with her on listening but Voight tells her to leave, which she eventually does. This is where Bingham realizes he is not going to be saved so he insults Justin before he is then shot dead, avenging Justin as well as the other people Bingham had killed with his remains buried by Voight.
During The Silos, Emma Crowley has an investigation launched into Intelligence about the disappearance into the suspect in his son's murder. Much later, she has Voight come with her to the Solies, where she hints that he killed and buried the perp.
