History[]

In Stepping Stone, Perry asks Voight why Erica Gradishar from eternal affairs called him about Voight. Voight tells Perry that he never heard of her. Perry warns Voight that if he is doing anything dirty then he will have him out of his district.

In Wrong Side of the Bars, when Antonio Dawson's son is kidnapped Perry goes to Dawson and tells him that he will give him anything he needs to find his son. Perry then talks to both Hank Voight and Bruce Belden about a fight the two had after the death of Julie Willhite. Perry tells Voight that he better find Dawson's son as his reputation is already bad enough as it is and that this would be enough for those who don't like Voight have him fired. After Dawson's son is saved Perry comes into the district. He and Voight would then go inside a room alone and gives the commander an ultimatum on whether or not Voight should be in charge of Intelligence. Perry decided to keep Voight. Perry would later attend the cemetery for the funeral of deceased Julie Willhite.

In Conventions, when a serial killer started a spree from New York to Chicago, Perry arrived on the scene of the latest murder and was dismayed that the M.O. matches the others. He spoke to Voight, stating he had 600 reasons for not putting him in charge of Intelligence but the only reason that he entrusted the unit to him was that he got results for investigations like that, believing he can solve it. This proved to be true when he allowed intelligence to investigate the case and they were able to find the killer's associate, who led them to the latter and his spree was ended.

During A Material Witness, Intelligence investigates a gang murder that leads to a conflict. Perry was called in when it turns out Lexi Olinsky, daughter of Alvin Olinsky, had seen the killer and the murder firsthand. Perry was happy to see her after so long and gave her assurances on identifying the perp.

During At Least It's Justice, Perry is called in when suspected pedophile and murderer Lonnie Rodiger is found dead in the park. He and Voight interviewed Jay Halstead, who was known holding a grudge on his whereabouts at the time. Perry puts Halstead stayed on temporary suspension until IA gives him a call.

During Turn the Light Off, Perry tells Voight and Dawson that Pulpo is being brought out of prison by Bruce Belden to lure out Gustav Munoz, something that they are not pleased with, especially Dawson who still has a burning hatred for Pulpo when he kidnapped his son and killed Willhite.

During My Way, Munoz kills eight people in a house that was making drugs. With this Perry orders Pulpo to be brought in as soon as possible. Perry warns Dawson that if he can't handle being in the same room as Pulpo then he should take some vacation time. After Intelligence found out that Pulpo was playing with them Voight and Belden fight again until Perry breaks it up. Voight asks Perry to be alone with Pulpo but Perry does not allow it. Halstead would them come in and tell Voight that they found something that could help them. Intelligence would find out where Munoz was and took him out. Perry is angered that shoots had to be fired but Intelligence still takes this as a win.

During Call It Macaroni, Edwin Stillwell would make allegations that Voight promised to give him money that he made from criminals. Perry would lead Voight to a room with many chiefs to explain himself. Voight would then request to speak alone with Chief Tim O'Leary. Perry agrees to this, and leaves followed by two others.

He later retired and was killed by a group of rogue cops in "Born Into Bad News". The cops were after his nephew who was attempting to report them. His death devastated Hank after he discovers that Carter did in fact participate in several of the corrupt units' activities and was trying to cover his involvement. Voight personally condemned Carter for his indirect role that got his uncle killed and presumably had him arrested.
