Almost nothing is known about Josh's past, only that he supposedly met Mason Rutowski at his university, who was the leader of a group of anarchist college students, Josh ended up joining and apparently participated in some meetings.

Josh appears at the beginning of the episode, Josh was giving a speech with Mason Rutowski about all the businessmen who were going to go to the business meeting that was going to be held in Chicago, there Josh gives some instructions to the members of the anarchist organization. Josh had an idea, a very important Argentine secretary, Fabián Soza, who had a history of hiring prostitutes, was going to the world trade meeting, so he talked Felicia Hughes into posing as a prostitute and having sex. With Soza, everything would be recorded discreetly so that Josh could blackmail Soza, Felicia did not want to do it, but Josh convinced her by telling her that she was "for the cause", Felicia met Soza in a hotel room, where they had sex and then Soza He left, Felicia still couldn't take in what he had just done, so she took some drugs and called Adam Ruzek, telling him that she was in trouble, then Josh came into the room, Felicia got angry, since she had realized that Josh was going to blackmail Fabián with the video to become a millionaire, Josh repeated to Felicia that everything was for the cause, then Felicia said she was going to call the police, that bothered Josh, who pushed Felicia, this added to the fact that Felicia had taken drugs caused her to trip and fall from the 20th floor of the hotel where they were, Josh saw the opportunity to continue with the blackmail, so he grabbed the camera that was still recording, after that he hacked Mason Rutowski's internet, sending An email to Soza, threatening to release the video if Soza didn't pay him $200,000, Josh remained hidden until Chicago police tricked him by posing as Soza's men so he could hand over the blackmail money, Josh reaches the point of meeting on a motorcycle, wearing black clothes and a motorcycle helmet, when he arrives he threatens Antonio Dawson with a gun and they give him the money in exchange for the USB with the original video, then Hank Voight gives the order to make the arrest, Josh realizes and escapes on his motorcycle through the streets and pavement, Josh continued driving his motorcycle but at one point he had to stop because he almost collided with a car, this was taken advantage of by Adam Ruzek who pounced on Josh, thus being able to arrest him, Josh is taken to the interrogation room, where Antonio Dawson and Adam Ruzek were also present, they show him the original video of the hotel room where he was on screen arguing with Felicia, Josh throughout the interrogation said that it was all Felicia's idea, and that she jumped off the building alone. Antonio makes Josh see that Felicia had actually been pushed from the top of the building, but Josh says that "Sierra" had jumped, Adam gets angry, since he had already told Josh Felicia's real name many times, He then walks up to Josh and slaps him twice while repeating "Say her real name", Josh says Felicia's name, still saying he hadn't done anything, Adam puts his hand on Josh's neck and chin, Adam orders him to Josh to tell him the truth about what happened in the hotel room, or else they were going to take a walk, from which only Ruzek would return. Josh then confesses and says that it had been an accident and that he never intended to push Felicia so hard.
Josh is then imprisoned for the murder of Felicia Hughes.
