Hannah Cates was a teenager who reached out to Hank Voight for help. She was portrayed by Sydney Pierick.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Hannah's past, other than that Camille Voight was her first grade teacher and had given her husband's card to her, and, much like Erin Lindsay, has been in multiple foster homes as a child. At some point, she met Mike Sheffield and Trent Tagerty, later starting a relationship with the former, as well as being involved in a life of crime with them. However, the bank robberies the group committed escalated too heavily, as they were far from professional with Mike being far more reckless and trigger-happy resulting in a death toll. Knowing that they were doomed and the police were closing in, Trent decided to split the group up and tried to convince Hannah to come with him, but Hannah was in love with Mike and stayed.
As Intelligence finds the duo in a car dealership, they make a run for the building while Mike fires sporadically. Police later surround the building, and Voight manages to enter through the back of the building and talk to the duo. Despite his attempt to coax her out of it, she commits suicide by cop, hand in hand with her boyfriend. This hits Voight hard, and he cradles her body in tears after emerging from the hail of bullets.
