Evan Kozelek was a man who along with his family, sought vengeance on Don Hastings and the company Lancaster Chemical's for the death of his niece, Ellie.
Background[]
Evan Kozelek was born and raised in Paoli Indiana. His niece, Ellie would become very sick and die from Lymphoma. This was because the company Lancaster Chemical's would dump waste into the water. Devastated by the loss of his daughter, Owen Kozelek would plan a way to get revenge. He reached out to his brother, Ray and Evan, as well as his nephew Nick Sutter. Together they would locate, Richard Davis an engineer who worked for Lancaster Chemical. Davis had files of Toxicity studies and internal communications. Davis was going to give it to the Kozelek's however, Lancaster would buy his silence with two million dollars. Angered, Evan Kozelek would kill Davis with a bullet to the head. The family then decided to kill all those connected to Lancaster and headed to Chicago. Before going they would be trained by Owen to work in unison.
Push the Pain Away[]
The family would head to Lakeshore Sport and Fitness, armed with rifles and masked while also wearing vests. Their goal was to kill the lawyers from Elkarn and Associates who represented Lancaster Chemical. One of the lawyers was walking up the stairs when he encountered the Kozelek family. One of them would shoot the man in the head and continued to the courts. There they would find three other men from Elkarn and Assoicates. Owen, Ray and Evan would corner the three men into the court they were in and shoot them. Meanwhile, Nick would go into the court across from the other one and fired wildly into it completely missing the woman that was inside as she ducked for cover. During the Chaos a woman would accidently be shot and would later die in the hospital. A guard would attempt to stop them by shooting at them but because of the vests they were wearing the bullets he didn't fall down, and in return they struck the guard with is weapon, but he was badly shot in the knee. The Kozelek's would then decide to take off their gear and burn in into a trash bin. Owen and Ray would leave the places while Nick stayed and posed as a civilian. Evan would stay behind to and allowed himself to be captured by the police when they came inside the building.
Evan would be questioned by Hank Voight. Voight asks him who he and the other shooters were, but Evan does not say a word. Voight tells Evan that he will find out who he is as well as his accomplices sooner or later. Voight presses harder on Evan and even puts his foot on his already damaged leg and then throws him out of the chair he is sitting on. Evan tells Voight that if he is asking this then he is already too late.
Evan is taken to the cage. Intelligence would find out his link between the murder of the engineer. Voight tells Evan that Indian has the death penalty and that now is his best chance to come forward with the identities of his accomplices so they can put him on try in Chicago instead of Indian. Evan still does not give in to Voight's threats, meanwhile Greg Gerwitz takes pictures of Evan.
Intelligence finds out about Nick. Alvin Olinsky and Kim Burgess come see Evan. Burgess would show him the files that Davis had. Olinsky asks Evan to stop Nick from committing more murders. Burgess tells Evan that Mclelland is already leaving Chicago so there is not more point. However, Evan seems to disagree with them. This leads the officers to believe that Don Hastings is the target, and that Nick is coming after him.
