Biography[]

She went to the police academy with Trudy Platt, with them becoming friends because of their similar tough personalities. Upon graduating, she made quite the name for herself as she rose up the ranks. Det. Alvin Olinsky even described how she takes no prisoners even when dealing with other cops.

Season 3[]

She first appears in "Climbing Into Bed", where she comes to the precinct to speak to Hank Voight. In his office, she reprimands Adam Ruzek, who went off on off-book undercover investigation involving a psychotic criminal with his situation not looking good because he was intoxicated. She states because of his father, she will only suspend him from field work until further examination into him is done.

During "You Never Know Who's Who", she speaks with Voight about how her look into his squad's case over the last few months, show how they are very aggressive one. When he thanks her, she remarks that he needs to keep the unit in line or else something will come back to bite them.

In "A Dead Kid, a Notebook and a Lot of Maybes", when Intelligence apprehend a teen who is suspected of being a bomber but is released with no problem, Crowley confronts Voight on the situation and asks since when he does he play by the rules. Voight remarked on her change in perspective and reveals that he needs all the facts. Crowley is not assured by this and asks if he has a handle, and he says that he's playing this by the ear. Soon Intelligence realizes the teen had no role in the bombing but was trying to expose his pedophilic swim coach, who was arrested after a confession.

In "Hit Me", she has Intelligence pair up with Det. Martin Watts to investigate a crew of fake cops. She told a protesting Watts that she can't stand fake officers and he shouldn't either. She was unaware that Watts himself was the mastermind behind the crew, but Intelligence arrested him and his conspirators.

During "Start Digging", she and the board have Voight called in and tell him after consideration, they wish to promote him to Lieutenant. They explain while he is a harsh cop, he has gotten results with his arrest records, but he refuses, finding it easier with his current rank as Sergeant. After Voight's son is killed, she tries to have him hang back because of his attachment, but he outright refuses and tells her that he will find the one who took his son, ignoring her warnings on losing further promotions.

Season 4[]

During "The Silos", Crowley has an investigation launched into Intelligence about the disappearance into the suspect in his son's murder. Much later, she has Voight come with her to the Silos, where she hints that he killed and buried the perp. She asks for his gun and badge, as an evacuation proceeds but no corpse is unearthed, to her shock. Unknown to her, the body was previously moved and dumped elsewhere. Voight asks for his belongings and to be allowed to go back to work.

In "Some Friend", she receives word that Alvin is friends with a suspect in a case and asks him if there are conflicts of interest in the case. Alvin assures her there is not but after he forcibly brings his friend Freddy Mays to the precinct, she is outraged by his defiance and threatens him with 10 days suspension but allows him to speak with McCoy. Alvin gets a confession, and he ends up losing his badge for 10 days and goes into counseling.

During "Don't Read the News", she is seen with ASA Steve Kot and officers to arrest Ricky Barnes, a suspect in several murders whose DNA was found to be matched. However, it is later revealed Ricky was really a partial match to the real culprit: his father who was arrested, and Ricky released.
