Carlos DeLeon was a criminal who ordered a hit on Alvin Olinsky.

Background[]

Carlos DeLeon was a money launderer who used his furniture business to launder money to the Cali Cartel. This put him in the crosshairs of the DEA. Det. Alvin Olinsky would be a part of the DEA task force, and he would place DeLeon's little brother in jail after being caught with guns in his car. The DEA try to get the little brother to turn on DeLeon, however, things go wrong when he is killed in prison.

Allegiance[]

Although he does not physically appear in the episode, DeLeon would find out that Alvin Olinsky was had been incarcerated on suspicion of murder. DeLeon would use this to get his revenge on Olinsky by orchestrating him to be killed by another inmate, which is successful.

Homecoming[]

DeLeon would have help from his cousin Ramon to flee after the Intelligence unit found out it was him who ordered the hit on Olinsky. His wife under pressure from the unit, would tell them that he is in his warehouse. The Intelligence Unit would come into the warehouse and search for him. While the unit takes care of DeLeon's men, Hank Voight chase DeLeon as he tries to escape. DeLeon is now confronted face to face by Voight. DeLeon wants Voight to take the money he has on him but that does not work on Voight as he orders DeLeon to get on his knees. Despite DeLeon pleading for Voight not to shoot him, he would try to pull a gun on Voight before the sergeant opened fire on him. The first shot knocked him to the ground and after he tried reaching for his gun, a second shot was fired in his heart. Two maintenance workers would witness this and accuse Voight of shooting an unarmed man.

New Normal[]

Security footage is found that proves that Voight shot DeLeon in self defense.

Alvin Olinsky: (Chicago Police Detective): Stabbed multiple times by an inmate and later died in the hospital: Orchestrated by Carlos DeLeon.
