Voight tells Jay to give him up, but the latter is insistent on his choice.

Jay meets with Agent North who is pleased to see him and expects Halstead has made the right choice. Halstead informs him that his brother Joey is in custody and reveals that he did a background check to find North has been covering for his brother by bribing officials. North tries to tell him not to do this but Halstead states that he will bury him if North comes for him, his Sergeant, and Hailey. Jay also reveals that he and Voight met at the area where Walton's body was to discuss another case. However, he does give North a list of sex traffickers that Walton worked with and says anyone of them would want him dead. Backed into a corner, North agrees to look into this but not before saying he looked into the unit and Halstead over the last few months. He states he had hoped that he was different, the only person Voight could not turn. Halstead retorts people change everyone but North doesn't think so and Jay asks if North's brother changed him, silencing the latter. With that, Halstead starts walking away.

Later, Jay arrives at Voight's house and tells the matter has been resolved with North. He then tells him not to keep him in the dark anymore, let him in so he could prevent him from going extreme and his sergeant understands.

Jay soon goes home to a worried Hailey. He informed her that he has taken care of everything with the FBI and tells her not to waste any time and marry him. After a night of making love, the pair of shown to have gone to the court where they are officially married.
